Hi, I’m Lucy! ❤️🐾

I’m 4 years old, and I’m a beautiful Russian Yorkshire Terrier. My story began in the same backyard breeding operation as my sister, Susie. For much of my life, my job was to have babies. I never really got to experience what it meant to simply be a little dog—to be someone’s companion, to be spoiled, to curl up on a lap and just enjoy being loved.

When the breeder went out of business, my life changed. Thankfully, Max’s Ark came to my rescue, and now I’m finally getting the chance to discover what life can be like when you don’t have to be a mama anymore. ❤️

The very best part of my journey is that I have my sister Susie by my side. We are bonded, and she is my comfort and my familiar face in this whole new world. We would love nothing more than to find a forever home together, where we can continue to lean on each other while we learn what it means to be loved and cherished.

I’m a sweet 7-pound Yorkie girl, and I’m actually quite the little sweetheart. I’m affectionate, gentle, patient, and very snuggly. I have a wonderfully chill personality, and once I know I’m safe, I love being close to my people.

And if you have treats? Well… we’re probably going to be very good friends! 😋

I’m good with other dogs and cats, too. I may need a little time and patience as I learn all the things that other dogs have always taken for granted, but I’m resilient, and I’m ready to learn.

Because of my past, I’m looking for an experienced adopter who understands that I may need time to build confidence and trust. I don’t need someone to rush me. I just need someone willing to show me, day by day, that my life has changed forever—and this time, it’s for the better.

I’m already spayed and up to date on my vaccinations. My days of having babies are over.

Now I’m ready for something I’ve never really had before:
