Hi, I’m Frida. I’m a 3-year-old, 5-pound Yorkie, and I’m finally getting the chance to discover what life is really supposed to be like. 🐾❤️

I came to Max’s Ark after being rescued from a breeder who was going out of business. I had spent my young life as a breeding mom, and now I’m learning that there is so much more to being a dog than having puppies.

I’m a pretty calm, quiet, patient and resilient little girl. I can be shy at first, but once I feel safe, I’m happy to simply be near the people I trust. I’m also independent, food-motivated, and good with both dogs and cats. ❤️

What I need most now is time.

I’ve missed out on so many of the things other dogs get to experience—the security of a home, the companionship of my family, and the feeling of knowing that I belong. I’m looking for someone who has plenty of time to spend with me and who understands that I may need patience as I continue learning how wonderful life can be.

At only 3 years old, I could easily have another 12–14+ years ahead of me. That is a very important commitment, and Max’s Ark wants to make sure my next home truly is my forever home. For that reason, we are especially looking for a mid-life family, someone retired, or someone who works from home and has the time and lifestyle to give me the companionship I deserve.

I’m not looking for a busy household where I’ll be left alone most of the day. I’ve already spent enough of my life without the love and attention every little dog deserves.

I’m spayed, current on my vaccinations, and ready to begin my new life.

And there’s one more important thing: I am available only to Collier County residents. Max’s Ark is a very small, foster-based rescue, and we need to keep our adoptions close to home so we can continue to support our dogs and their families.
