I’m 4 years old, and my story began in the same backyard breeding operation as my friend Susie. For much of my life, my job was to have babies. I never really got to experience what it meant to simply be a little dog—to be someone’s companion, to be spoiled, to curl up on a lap and just enjoy being loved.
